Interview with Black Cat a.k.a Ayana Butler

Some of you may know her as Black Cat/ BlackCat514, and some of you may know her by her government name. Black Cat is known for her talent as a cosplayer as well as a video star and model on such websites as Pixel Vxens and Godsgirls.com. Akuri: In your "what I do for fun?" video (YouTube, 2009), you said you were shy. Would you still consider yourself a shy person even given your side gig with Pixel Vixens, Gods Girls, etc?
BlackCat: Hell yea lol
Akuri: How did you get into sharing your nude art online? 
BlackCat: I started off being kinda shy about it but then I realized I model better nude and I feel "free" so I decided to do more of it by modeling for a couple sites
Akuri: What are you doing with your graphic design skills so far?
BlackCat: My speciality is web design but I have a familiarity with web development, branding, etc
Akuri: In detail, what did you do to lose weight?
BlackCat: Home workouts, drinking water, and staying away from junk good. I only work out 3 times a week for a half hr and I recently got into hooping
Akuri: Have you decided your cosplays for next year?
BlackCat: I'm not sure yet, but I do know I'm doin femme Hakumen from blazblue
Akuri: What other conventions do you attend?
BlackCat: Cons other than AB, I would like to go to other cons in which PV hires me to be there. So derpy con in NJ is lookin pretty good at the moment so that'll be announced soon
Akuri: When did you decide you wanted to be a model? 
BlackCat: I decided at around sophomore to junior year
Akuri: I imagine it must be amazing to have people waiting on your next post, your next sets etc.
BlackCat: It's a great feeling! i like knowing that there's someone out there that appreciate me and my work
Akuri: When you take your own photos, do you just use a camera and tripod or are there other things you require? Do you use editors?
BlackCat: Yes i use cameras and tripods as well as online editors. For godsgirls, it's usually required to shoot your own sets
Akuri: What are some of your favorite places to have a shoot?
BlackCat: Basements xD It has that dark and eerie feel to it and makes me really get into character
Akuri: What is/are your favorite set(s)? 
BlackCat: My latest which was my Juri Han cosplay
Akuri: To improve your cosplays, do you watch youtube videos to learn new things or is it mostly trial and error?
BlackCat: Yes and Yes
Akuri: How many of your cosplays have you sewn by hand?
BlackCat: Hmmm let's see, about 3-4 and some of 'em I usually buy parts but sew the majority of it

I am very excited for Anime Boston this year! It will be my 4th year but my first year cosplaying all 3 days. I've only attempted cosplaying once but this time my cosplays will be so much better!

Truffles to die for

In the event that my life should end soon
I'd like a truffle please
It's filled with chocolaty goodness
And it puts my mind at ease

Pass me just one and I'll melt like butter
Not a single word shall I utter
While listening to "Summer Shutter"
I'd like my truffle please

And as I lay awaiting the end
It is always fun to pretend
That the place for eternity I shall spend

Im so excited!!! Anime Boston is only a few weeks away!! Although I'm not exactly doing any cosplays [unless u count little red], I just cant wait to see everyone and all the new stuff and guests. Maybe I'll get my picture taken again, who knows. I need more friends that love Anime Boston

Anyway, its been a while since I've logged on. Hopefully the new pw will allow me to have access to it all the time haha.
